When parents comfort their babies, they don't vibrate like a bouncy seat or swing like a swing. Everyone has seen parents put their babies in their arms and bounce sway. That's why 4moms invented the mamaRoo. It moves like you do.

The mamaRoo bounces and sways just like you. Motion sensors on moms and dads to measure the ways they move to comfort their babies. While there's no one universal movement that everybody makes (that would have been too easy), there are certain types of calming motions every parent uses. That's why the mamaRoo has five different motion settings. Each one is a variation on the up-and-down and side-to-side movements our research found parents making over and over again to soothe their infants. It's not just a tagline: the mamaRoo really does "move like you do." It has five unique motions: Car Ride, KangaRoo, Tree Swing, Rock-a-Bye, and Ocean Wave.

The mamaRoo's speeds were chosen for two reasons: safety and comfort. Making those choices was a challenge, though, because there's a very real difference between how a motion looks and how it feels. Think about the swinging pirate ship rides at amusement parks: they look like they're moving slowly, but step on and you'll find that's not the case. The mamaRoo's motions were chosen for how they feel, and most importantly, for how they feel to an infant. What seems slow to an adult may be just right for a baby. Extensive field research was done, and babies consistently love the mamaRoo and find it very soothing.

The mamaRoo's seat reclines to any position along its axis. The machine washable fabric removes easily. It's as easy to clean as it is to use.

The mamaRoo is also aesthetically pleasing. The clean modern design will look great in any room. The mobile features three toys by classic artists. One side is black and white for younger babies and the other is colored for older babies. The toys can be easily removed for babies to study and play.
